There’s never been a better excuse to dress to the nines for a sporting event than the Scottsdale Polo Party this weekend. Big hats, southern gents and wait till you see what the horses wore !
There were record crowds this Saturday for the second annual Polo Party; final attendance figures aren’t in yet, but we have it on good authority that it smashed last year’s attendance of 2300, and will probably come in at around 9,000 !

I am completely resisting the temptation to say they’re not horsin’ around.
Anywho, there was so much to see and do. VIP tents, exotic cars, fashion shows, drinking, eating, dancing, tailgating, manicures (!), polo players, pretty horses, pretty people, oh and yeah, polo matches !
Everyone was dressed to thrill – even the gents !
For the ladies, it was all about the hats !
You might know this lovely. Local PR maven Melissa Rein always looks smashing and she makes it look so effortless. I’d kill for that hat.

As do horses in pink socks. Just sayin’.

The Arabian horses and their riders were truly magnificent.
Plus, they let you pet them, which was awesome…
You might be able to get your photo taken with Heidi Klum, but you most certainly can not pet her. That would be bad.

It was truly a splendid day in Scottsdale…
Hope you got a chance to go and take in all the sights, cuz there is really no better place than Scottsdale for Polo. Someone get Ralph Lauren on the phone for next year…
