One of the first phases of our beloved Scottsdale Nordstrom’s re-model is now complete. Yes, Trend Accessories has risen in the desert like an oasis… a sparkling, shiny pool of fashion accessories for you to dive into.
This completely new department features collections from new designers and brands, smaller “mom and pop” lines like Alex & Ami jewelry, MZ Wallace handbags and a line of statement necklaces from Bonnie Strauss, that are handcrafted in Portugal. You’ll also find a great selection of the uber-hot House of Harlow pieces, (Nicole Richie’s vintage inspired line of jewelry and sunglasses) and bags from R & Em, Rebecca Minkoff’s lower priced line.
Only 50 Nordstrom stores are slated to open a Trend Accessories shop; in Scottsdale, it’s located on the second floor, between the escalators and the mall entrance.

These Bonnie Strauss necklaces are actually much prettier in person and they’re surprisingly light. I tried on the necklace on the left and it was really stunning.
Bonnie Strauss necklaces are all hand made in Portugal and sell in the $300 price range.
Love the crosses from this brand, Virgins Saints & Angels.
(Probably because I’m a saintly angelic virgin.)

Aren’t these little state charm necklaces from Kris Nations cute ? Great gift idea; $42. (We searched and searched for Arizona, but it was temporarily sold out.)
Because Arizona is the best state, as we all know.

I do love the “Be Nice or Leave, Thank You” zippered pouches though. They send a kindler, gentler message to creepy guys in nightclubs and your pepper spray fits perfectly inside. Just kiddin.’

Modeled by the lovely Molly Carmody, who did not want to get her photo taken until I threatened her within an inch of her life.
You can’t blame her for being camera shy; she is absolutely horrifying and I had to spend hours photo-shopping her.
I did a fabulous job on her smile don’t you think ?
OK, sadly the tour is coming to an end, but there’s one last awesome little item I must show you because it is the cutest little thing and it’s inexpensive and the best stocking stuffer/ gift idea ever.
