With Fall season rapidly approaching, we’ve got lots of new events to add to your fashion calendar including Fashion Night Out and Phoenix Fashion Week !
Here’s the rundown…
August 25 – Scottsdale Fashion Square Back to School Fashion Show Event, Noon to 2 p.m. – East Wing near Barneys New York.
Scottsdale Fashion Square is the host for this Fall Fashion show, featuring Aeropostale, Francesca’s Collections, G Star Raw, Splendid and the new Peek Kids. The beautiful models from Agency Arizona will be on the runway.
Highlights include:
Radio Disney’s 90-minute Rockin’ Roadshow and a ticket giveaway for Justin Bieber’s sold out concert, Regis Salon’s hair chalking techniques, 2BU Aveda Salons mini spa treatments, GAP’s denim bar and makeup tips from Sephora.
This is also a backpack and clothing drive to help students in need. Donate new or gently used items to benefit Vista del Camino, a Scottsdale facility helping families in crisis.

September 6 – Fashion Night Out
As always, there are a slew of events taking place for Fashion Night Out, including events at Kierland and Scottsdale Fashion Square in Scottsdale. Also the Outlets at Anthem are hosting their own FNO event as well !
Neiman Marcus always puts on a great FNO event; highlights this year include:
A personal appearance and Fall fashion trunk show with the fabulous couture designer Oday Shakar, Couture Salon, Level 2
The Fall Trends Runway show - 7 p.m. in the Neiman Marcus courtyard in the mall
Phoenix Fashion Week’s “Little Black Dress” Challenge, Level 2
Trunk shows from YSL, Valentino ( shoes ), Alice & Olivia, ( Cusp )
Beauty Event specials, Cosmetics
Also, for the first time ever, a Project Ruff-way Dog Fashion Show, 6 p.m. Level 2. Doggie wine & cheese for the 4-legged friends. ( Wait…there’s doggie wine ?! )
The Neiman Marcus event takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

September 12 – In Vogue: Vogue’s Online Archive and the September Issue, luncheon/lecture presented by the Arizona Costume Institute
Join Librarian Lindsey Powers along with Andrea Severson & the lovely Ms. Hannah Hayes as they share the how-to’s and possibilities of the new Vogue Online Archive at Phoenix Art Museum’s Lemon Art Research Library. Original copies of the magazine’s influential September issues throughout its history will be on view for a discussion of its significance and changes.
This must see event takes place at the Phoenix Art Museum, September 12, 11:30 a.m. Ticket prices are $25 for ACI members and $30 for non-members. Click here to purchase or for more information !

October 3 – Fashionably Pink Runway Show, Phoenix Fashion Week, at MIM
The official kick-off event for Phoenix Fashion Week is always one of my favorites. It’s energy -packed fashion featuring local celebrities and raising funds for Susan G. Komen and breast cancer awareness.
Tickets are not on sale yet for this, but make sure you put it on your schedule ( 7 p.m. at the Musical Instrument Museum, aka MIM ) and I’ll update you when tickets are available !

October 4-6, Phoenix Fashion Week at Talking Stick Resort
After last year’s record-breaking attendance, Phoenix Fashion Week returns to Talking Stick this year with 3 nights of fashion-packed goodness !
I will have more details on this soon, but for now, here is the schedule and tickets are already on sale at eventbrite.com.
And FYI – this year, you do not have to purchase tickets separately for emerging and established designer shows. The ticket you purchase is good for both shows on the date you purchase. Ticket prices range from $25 per night for General Admission to $100 for VIP Front Row.
