Former celebrity stylist Jane McCann built her business, Just Jane, on just this premise; offering stylish leather handbags ranging from $30 to $130, from top-selling brands like Big Buddha, Melie Bianco, Sondra Roberts and Loungefly.
Jane has a great eye for style; before starting Just Jane here in Phoenix, she spent 20 years as a celebrity hair and makeup stylist, including many years behind-the-scenes at London Fashion Week. Initially, she was looking for a way to transform her passion for the fashion industry into a home-based business that would give her the flexibility to raise her 2 kids; she started out selling designer handbags and jewelry to friends and neighbors. The business was an instant success and has now expanded into a full-time showroom and an online shopping site that gives her customers 24-7 access to her growing inventory. ( She just added BCBG Generation !)

I actually first met Jane when she did a trunk show at my gym a few years ago. (Mountainside Fitness off Shea and about 116th St. ) Of course, Jane probably goes to my gym more than I do, so really I should call it her gym, but I’m told she makes pretty regular appearances there.
My hubs has even met her and he calls her “that funny British chick you buy purses from.”
So yeah, there’s that.
Anywho, I snapped all these photos at a special blogger event held at the Just Jane showroom last week. We had fun trying on bags and jewelry and eating cupcakes for dinner !
I’m really mad I didn’t buy this tote.
I was trying to be all practical ( I hate when that happens ) so instead I bought this cute cross-body bag in pewter ($49 !) that’s actually big enough to hold my phone, wallet, sunglasses, keys, business cards and 2 lipsticks.
Don’t ask me why I always feel the need to carry 2 lipsticks. It’s one of life’s great mysteries.
Oh, and a leather studded wrap bracelet in brown, cuz I already have one in black and I wear it all the time. Makes me feel all Madonna.
