Me-Ality has developed a body-scan system that will take your body measurements and give you a print-out of the jeans, or pants, that will fit your body perfectly.
Can I get a hallelujah and AMEN ?!
Here’s how it works. You step inside the Me-Ality kiosk, fully clothed, except for your shoes. The radiation-free body scan takes less than a minute and when you step out, you head to the computer terminal with your scan bar code. In about 2 minutes, it spits out a list of the Top 20 recommended styles and brands for your body, the size you need, and a store list of who carries them. The search is localized to whichever mall you’re in.
Me-Ality has over 100 brands in their database, including many of the top-selling brands, like True Religion, Joe’s Jeans, Hudson, etc.
I was really interested to see what brands came up on my recommended list, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised that there were many styles and brands listed that I have in my closet.
Morgan Covarrubias, Me-Ality’s Area Manager told me that one of the best things about the itemized list is discovering new brands and styles to fit you that you would never know about it without the service. And because the list even prints out the prices (MSRP), you can quickly find the styles in your price range.
They’re listed in order of what will fit you the best. On my print-out, the prices ranged from $68 for a pair of Gap jeans to $220 for a pair of True Religions.
There are currently 5 Arizona locations that have a Me-Ality kiosk: Scottsdale Fashion Square, Chandler Fashion Center, Paradise Valley Mall, Arrowhead Mall and Superstition Springs Mall. There are over 70 U.S. locations with the Me-Ality kiosks, with plans to be in 300 malls by next year. Right now, you can search for jeans and pants, but Me-Ality will soon include skirts, tops and dresses in their growing database.
You know what else is awesome about this service ? You can have your hubby or your kids or your boyfriend, your mother-in-law, whoever… have the body scan done too and then you can shop online for their perfect fitting pair. Genius.
Set up your Me-Ality profile while you’re there and they’ll send you updated Shopping Guides as new styles and brands are added. Again…genius.
