Two thrillers, two chillers and two words for Glenn Close. Well, I can’t actually say anything in two words, but I’m gonna give it a shot.
Thriller 1- Julianne Moore in Dior
Double bonus points cuz it rhymes. But seriously, only Julianne could pull this off.
Thriller 2 – Hayden Panetierre in Marchesa
It doesn’t rhyme, but it was still pure poetry. What fun is it to be a beautiful young star if you can’t occasionally wear a goddess dress ? You have to be young, petite and confident to make a choice like this. The gold underdress made her look like a star and she owned it.
Chiller: Lena Dunham in Prada.
Proof that it can be the prettiest dress in the world, but that doesn’t mean it’s right for you.
Chiller: Phoebe Price
Even the photo says she got the crown for worst Emmy dress of 2012 ! What is this ? It looks like a wedding bouquet gone wrong. And don’t get me started on the orange shoes.
Talk about the agony of da feet.
Two words for Glenn Close: Giorgio Armani.
Dear Glenn, please, please, please call Giorgio Armani. You’re a superb actress, capable of leveling a room with the look in your eye. You make stealing scenes from other actors look like childsplay. You deserve to be dressed like the grande dame that you are. Think tailored. Sophisticated. Do away with unnecessary foofawfery.
For the love of Pete, you’re an American classic; we just think you should dress like one.
This… not so much.
