But the fashion gods are smiling on us with the peep-toe bootie trend.
They’re the closest thing we’ll get to air-conditioned boots, and they’re everywhere !
Which means lots of choices in colors and materials and flat-out fabulous style for all of us boot fiends . Here are a few of our favorites, in all price ranges.
Or the flirty and feminine Nine West Denya, in mesh and leather, $130. Also available in light gray, medium brown.
Michael Kors’ classic take is the Parker Platform in black leather and studs. Contemporary with a little edge, $165.
And then there’s the incomparable Alexander Wang, with his inevitably unique vision. He adds fringe, another hot trend for fall, and delivers the Dree Sandal. $615, at Barneys. Yummy.
(I’m welling up right now.) You must meet Devon in person; she leapt into my arms and begged me to take her home with me. Alas, I had to resist her charms and her price tag. $525. ( Stupid house payment.)
But, here’s the good news: peep-toe booties are sooooo hot right now, you can even find them on sale. Yay !
Marc by Marc Jacobs, Barneys, regularly $495, now $249 !
And last but not least, we must remind you that Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale even has the peep-toe bootie in their sale catalog.
Peep toes for all our fashion peeps !
P.S. If you would like to contribute to the Scottsdale Fashionista Devon Bootie Fund, we are now graciously accepting donations.
