If you’re a vintage fashion lover, you’ll love this.
The one and only Babs has transformed the basement of her home into her own private shopping mecca . The ” shops ” include a Doll Shop, an Antiques store and a Sweets shop. She thought this would be a better way to store her amazing collection of antiques, antique gowns, dolls and costumes.
” Instead of just storing my things in the basement, I can make a street of shops and display them, ” says Barbra.
Street of dreams is more like it.
Go ahead and grab a cup of coffee; this is truly amazing.
Gives a whole new meaning to Hello Dolly, doesn’t it ?!
The Antique Shop
Check out her collection of antique dresses.
This is the Cecil Beaton designed dress she wore in, ” On a Clear Day, You Can See Forever ”
On the left is the vintage cape she wore to meet the Queen of England.
I’d never take it off. I’d just walk around the house in it all day and ask people to bring me tea and crumpets and stuff.
And last but never least, the collection of vintage shoes…
I hereby grant Barbra Streisand the award for the ” Most Creative Basement Collection ” in the history of the world !
Not that she needs any more awards…
