For many women, owning your first Louis Vuitton bag is a rite of passage; a signal you’ve arrived. But perhaps what it really says about you is that you’re a woman who appreciates the quality and the craftsmanship that goes into creating a timeless bag, one that you’ll carry confidently for years.
The braided handle on the Artsy bag is handmade of calfskin leather; it takes one craftsman 3 hours to complete.
Just shopping for a Louis Vuitton bag is a unique experience in itself. Louis Vuitton does not wholesale; so visiting a Louis Vuitton boutique is the only way you can physically pick up a bag, conduct the all important “pocket inspection”, caress the leather, smell the leather, ( oh, c’mon, you know you will ) and cradle it in your arms as you envision yourself owning it.
Luckily for us, the Louis Vuitton boutique in Scottsdale Fashion Square is home to a vast array of covetable bags, shoes, travel cases and accessories worthy of an afternoon field trip.
This week, we set out to discover what’s new, and covetable, in the luxurious world of Louis Vuitton…
These are some of the new bags in the Epi line, the original leather line made of calfskin leather. They’re water-proof, scratch-proof and for the first time in 18 years, they’ve been re-invented in bright new colors called the Rainbow Collection.
The Epi line of zippy wallets…
Next, two drop-dead gorgeous bags in off-white patent leather, the Brea, on the left and the Bellflower cross-body bag. If you speak french, the color is blanc corail. They’re ravishing in any language…
For the ultimate in Louis luxury, the L handbag in Mahina leather features the trademark Vuitton monogram, which is laser cut into the leather. The color pictured below is Sandy: it’s available in other colors, including taupe, black and gris pearle, which is a light slate blue.
And last, the hugely popular Alma and Sherwood bags in that delicious black cherry shade, which is called amarante.
For more information on any of these luscious Louis bags, you can call the Scottsdale store directly at 480-946-2415. Lynne Harper is the Store Manager and she is just delightful. It’s a friendly place: VIC specialist Stacy Gilbert is very knowledgeable about all the items shown here; she took lots of time educating me on the details of each one of these amazing bags.
And p.s…wait till you see the new shoes !
